Introduction
Daily Kind ("we", "us", or "our") is a kindness habit app published by Hercules Designs. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use the Daily Kind mobile application.
Information We Collect
Account data: When you start using Daily Kind, we create a local profile on your device so your progress can be saved. This may include a random user ID, your preferred kindness categories, reminder settings, supporter status, and optional display name.
Activity data: We store the kindness challenges you complete, how they made you feel, optional journal notes, streaks, and charity donation markers you choose to record in the app.
Device and purchase data: If you support Daily Kind through an in-app purchase, payment is processed by Apple or Google. We receive purchase confirmation through our purchase provider (RevenueCat). We do not receive your full payment card details.
Notifications: If you enable daily reminders, we store your chosen reminder time and use your device's notification permission to send local reminders.
How We Use Information
We use your information to provide the app, personalize daily kindness ideas, track your progress and journal, unlock supporter rewards after purchase, send optional reminders, and improve Daily Kind over time. We do not sell your personal information and we do not show ads.
Where Data Is Stored
Your information is stored locally on your device. We do not sync your profile, journal, or supporter status to our servers. Deleting the app removes this data from your device.
Third-Party Services
Daily Kind relies on trusted service providers to operate, including RevenueCat (in-app purchases) and Apple/Google (app distribution and payments). When you tap a charity link, you leave Daily Kind and visit that organization's website, which has its own privacy practices.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the app removes locally stored data. To request help with privacy questions, contact us at the email below.
Children's Privacy
Daily Kind is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Daily Kind after changes means you accept the updated policy.
