Hercules Designs ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Whatever mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Whatever is designed to keep your complaints on your device. We do not require an account. We do not show ads. We do not sell your personal information.

If you turn on AI responses in Settings, only the text you type (up to 360 characters) is sent to our service provider to generate a humorous reply. You can turn this off at any time.

The App stores the following locally on your phone or tablet using on-device storage:

• Complaint history — the text you write, generated responses, personality mode used, favorite status, and timestamps (up to 100 entries).

• Daily usage count — used to enforce the free plan limit of one complaint per day. When AI sharing is enabled, this count is also tracked on our server (keyed to your anonymous RevenueCat subscriber ID) to prevent abuse.

• AI sharing preference — whether you have allowed your complaint text to be sent for AI-generated responses.

• Subscription state — cached premium status from your app store purchase, when applicable.

This data stays on your device unless you delete it (Settings → Clear all history) or uninstall the App.

We only send data off your device when you choose to use certain features:

• AI responses (optional): If you enable "Share prompt with AI" in Settings, your complaint text is sent through our Supabase server to OpenAI to generate a humorous reply. We do not send your name, contacts, photos, location, or device identifiers with that request. Personality mode is used on our server to shape the reply style but is not shared as personal data. You may decline AI sharing and still use the App with built-in responses.

• Subscriptions: If you purchase Whatever+, RevenueCat processes your subscription through Apple App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat receives purchase and entitlement information from the store. We do not receive your payment card details.

• Support email: If you contact us at hello@herculesdesigns.org, we receive whatever information you include in your message.

• Sharing: When you tap Share, you choose what to send through your device's native share sheet. We do not control what app or service you share to.

The App relies on these service providers, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• OpenAI — processes complaint text when AI sharing is enabled (openai.com/policies).

• Supabase — hosts the server function that forwards complaint text to OpenAI (supabase.com/privacy).

• RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions (revenuecat.com/privacy).

• Apple App Store / Google Play — process payments for Whatever+ subscriptions.

We do not require you to create an account. The App does not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or health information. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics SDKs in the App.

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at hello@herculesdesigns.org and we will help you delete it.

Complaint history and preferences are retained on your device until you clear them in Settings, or until you uninstall the App.

Data sent to OpenAI for AI responses is handled according to OpenAI's data policies. We do not maintain a separate database of your complaints on our servers.

To delete local data: open Settings → Your data → Clear all history. To stop sending text to AI: open Settings → AI data sharing and turn off "Share prompt with AI."

You can use the App without enabling AI sharing. You can delete your history at any time. You can manage or cancel Whatever+ subscriptions through your Apple or Google account settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Contact us at hello@herculesdesigns.org and we will respond within a reasonable time.

We use industry-standard practices through our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Because most of your data stays on your device, you also control physical access to your phone or tablet.

If you enable AI sharing, your complaint text may be processed in the United States or other countries where OpenAI or our infrastructure providers operate. By enabling AI sharing, you consent to that transfer.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
