Terms of Use

Whatever lets you write short complaints and receive humorous, AI-assisted or built-in responses intended for entertainment and light emotional relief. The tagline says it best: complain, laugh, move on.

The App is not therapy, counseling, medical advice, crisis support, or a substitute for professional help. If you are in crisis or need serious support, contact a qualified professional or emergency services in your area.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you should use the App with a parent or guardian's permission, especially before making purchases.

The App does not require an account. Your complaint history and preferences are stored locally on your device.

The free plan includes a limited number of complaints per day, access to the Silly personality mode, local history, and sharing features.

Whatever+ is a paid subscription that unlocks additional features such as up to 20 complaints per day, all personality modes, and Generate Again. Feature availability may change; we will not remove core paid functionality you already purchased without notice during an active billing period.

Whatever+ subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play, processed by RevenueCat. Payment, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and free trials are subject to the store's terms and policies.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your device's subscription settings. We do not process refunds directly — contact Apple or Google for billing disputes.

Prices may change for new subscribers. Existing subscribers will be notified according to store rules before a price change takes effect.

Responses may be generated by artificial intelligence (via OpenAI, when you opt in) or selected from built-in text. AI output can be inaccurate, inappropriate, or unexpected. It is provided for humor and perspective only — not as factual, medical, legal, or professional advice.

You choose whether to enable AI sharing in Settings. Without your permission, complaint text is not sent to AI services.

You retain ownership of the text you write. By enabling AI sharing, you grant us and our service providers a limited license to process that text solely to generate a response for you.

You are responsible for what you write. Do not submit content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that violates others' rights.

You agree not to misuse the App, including attempting to reverse engineer it, interfere with its operation, scrape or overload our services, or use it for unlawful purposes.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that could harm us, other users, or third parties.

The App, its design, mascot, branding, and built-in content are owned by Hercules Designs or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the App except as allowed by law or store license terms.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that responses will make you feel better, that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI output will be appropriate for every situation.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HERCULES DESIGNS AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or USD $10 if you have not paid anything.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hercules Designs from claims arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in the United States, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise in your country of residence.
